The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Grant Research & Development Coordinator within the Board of County Commissioners. This position will be in the Administration Office and will report directly to the Assistant County Administrator for Administration.

This position conducts research to identify private, corporate, and government grant opportunities in the interest of Wakulla County. Drafts proposals and correspondence to prospective funding entities. Is responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of grant/funding projects. Works closely with the Assistant County Administrator and undertakes other assignments at the discretion of the Assistant County Administrator. The incumbent must possess excellent writing and computer skills and be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes. Ability to work effectively under pressure using independent judgment and produce a quality work product under tight constraints. Must have comprehensive knowledge of research and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs.

Qualifications: Requires graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, communications, journalism, project development or marketing, or other related fields, and five (5) years of successful grant writing experience and proven ability to secure funding. Professional experience may be substituted for the required college degree(s). Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of citizens and employees of the Board. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
