The Wakulla County Recreation Department
is committed to giving every child the best possible experience with youth sports. By providing excellent sports programs our goal is that every child and citizen's passion will grow when we; as a whole teach them our knowledge and understanding of time, patience, and the meaning of teamwork. As our community continues to grow the Recreation Division will continue to strive to provide the best activities for our community. Parent involvement is important; to find out more information on how to get involved please contact the Recreation Department Administration Office at (850) 926-7227.

Important Announcement- Updated Monday 6/1/20:

Due to the COVID -19 situation, the Wakulla County Recreation Department is submitting a plan for resuming some of the leagues and programs of the Spring 2020 Season to the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners on Monday, June 1, 2020. Please check back daily for updated information.

Additionally, as of 4/21/20 the Wakulla County Recreation Department Administration Office will be open to the public but strict social distancing policies will be in effect. Only one citizen at a time will be allowed in the lobby. Staff will be available for questions and information by calling the Recreation Department Office number at (850) 926-7227. Thank you for your cooperation during this time.



2020 Mid Spring Sports Programs (Spring Soccer & Player Pitch League)
will not occur at this time and refunds are being processed.
Wakulla County Equestrian Center and Medart Recreation Park Facilities; Athletic Fields, Picnic Pavilions, Playgrounds, Basketball Courts, Batting Cages and Tennis Courts are available for use by groups of 10 or fewer people. Park patrons should follow CDC Guidelines by keeping physical distance, using hand sanitizer, and wearing face covering when possible. 



Please note that all coaches and volunteers associated with youth sports programs undergo a local law enforcement assisted background check.
