The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time benefitted position of Fleet Mechanic in the Road & Bridge Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to preventative maintenance (oil changes), tire repairs/changing, basic electrical repair and troubleshooting/diagnosis skills on both vehicles and equipment.

Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, specialized vocational training in automotive mechanics or a closely related field is a plus but not required. ABILITIES: Ability to lift to 50 lbs.; read instructions, charts, and/or procedures manuals; ability to make decisions with minor impact; ability to manage or use machines, tools, equipment, or work aids involving minor latitude for judgement regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items. Must be able to work cohesively with others and be willing to work nonstandard and overtime hours as required.
