Employment Opportunity: Golf Turf Technician II (Re-Advertisement)
The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time benefitted position of Golf Turf Tech II.

Responsibilities include: Perform general grounds maintenance tasks using specialized golf course machinery, Mows Greens, Tees, Fairways and Roughs; Cleans and greases machinery after each use; Reports machinery/equipment problems to superintendent or equipment mechanic; Edge, Trim and Rake Bunkers; Change pins and move tee markers; Operates aerators, seeders and spreaders; Cleans and services water coolers on course; Cleans and maintains restrooms on course; Edges cart paths and sidewalks; Trims trees and hedges and removes cuttings; Repairs irrigation system; Rakes leaves and removes debris; Hand waters turfgrass when necessary. Performs other maintenance related duties as assigned. Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions and withstand the physical requirements of standing, walking, bending for long periods of time and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualified applicants must be 18 years or older, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Must be dependable and have good communication skills, have a minimum of one year experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping and have knowledge of basic operations and preventative maintenance of golf course grounds.
