EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:  Special Assessments & Property Acquisition Specialist

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Special Assessment & Property Acquisition Specialist position within the Board of County Commissioners. This position will be located in the Public Works Department and will report directly to the Public Works Administration Director.

This is an independent position requiring experience with real estate, land acquisitions, property appraisals, title work, right of way acquisitions and surveys. Must be able to communicate well and provide outstanding customer service. Must have the ability to negotiate with citizens, handle on-site inspections and administer special assessments pertaining to property, Have the ability to write and present agenda items to Board members when necessary.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalency diploma is required; possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field and three years of professional experience in real estate, appraisals and/or title work. A comparable amount of experience may substitute for the college education. Must possess a valid Driver’s License. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
