8/19/10 Important Notice of Deadline Extention for ITB'S . . . ITB 2010-06 and 2010-07 have Addendum's announcing an extention of deadline. 8/17/10 VolunteerWakulla Hosts 3rd Annual Make A Difference Day 8/17/10 The Wakulla County Code Enforcement Office is seeking a replacement member to fill a vacancy on the Code Enforcement Board for the remaining unexpired term of one (1) member. Preference may be given to someone who currently works as a realtor within Wakulla County. The term will expire December 31, 2011. The Code Enforcement Board is a seven member board appointed by the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners to enforce County ordinances and to hear cases involving potential violations of those ordinances. Members of the Code Enforcement Board shall be residents of Wakulla County and shall serve without compensation. You are invited to attend workshops being held on July 27th and August 26th & 28th. The Workshop on July 27, 2010 will be held at the Wakulla County Community Center at 5:30pm – 8:30pm and is open to anyone; however, the focus of the workshop will be on coordinating the Crawfordville Town Plan with Crawfordville’s business community. A design charrette where the general public will have the opportunity to provide input on the future look of the Crawfordville area will be held on August 26th & 28th. Residents of the Crawfordville area are highly encouraged to attend the design charrette and to provide input during the development of the Crawfordville Town Plan. Groups such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Tourist Development Council, etc. are encouraged to attend the Business and Property Owners Workshop. 7/16/10 FYI . . . Notice of Second Public Hearing on Proposed Change to the Wakulla County Land Development Code 6/29/10 Section 2.07 of the Master Assessment Ordinance provides a process to allow individuals to request the creation of a special assessment program for construction of neighborhood capital improvements, for the following types of improvements:
This voluntary process is intended to be used primarily for improvements on public property but may be used for improvements on private property or for private facilities if the property owners impacted by the improvements agree. It may be used for private roads, if the County is granted the right to construct the improvements by donation of all necessary right-of-way. Citizens may call this dedicated phone line to either request spraying for their yard or request to be added to the “No Spray” list. The new phone number is 850-926-0410.
