FEMA's assistance program can help eligible applicants with serious unmet needs including temporary housing assistance, uninsured personal property, and medical, dental, and funeral expenses caused by the storm. Low-interest disaster loans from the Small Business Administration also are available to homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes in the designated counties. To apply for individual assistance, call FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY). FEMA operators are available 7 a.m. to midnight local time, seven days a week, until further notice. If you experience problems reaching FEMA, please try calling them early in the morning or late in the evening. February 8, 2008 Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Riversink Area: Please be advised that on Thursday, February 7, 2008 a water break occurred at the corner of Shepherdwood and Highway 319 which resulted in the water on the west side of Riversink to be turned off. A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the River Sink Water System due to the main line break. We advise that all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled; a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient time.
