The Grants Division is responsible for researching grant opportunities, formulating application for grants, developing and maintaining a list of grant opportunities and timelines, maintaining grant files and other grant related duties.

SIMPLE GUIDELINES FOR REQUESTING A LETTER OF SUPPORT FROM THE BOCC WHEN APPLYING
FOR A GRANT

  1. Letters of support for individuals or organizations pursuing a grant must be signed by the chairman of the Board at a regularly scheduled Board meeting via an agenda item from the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Procurement and Grants.  All letters of support once signed are filed with the County Clerk's office as a matter of public record.

  2. The request should be received at least 10 (ten) working days before the next regularly scheduled meeting.  The BOCC schedule is posted on the County website at www.mywakulla.com

  3. Provide the following information in your request for a letter of support to Sheree Keeler at skeeler@mywakulla.com

         Check Symbol  Date Letter is Needed
         Check Symbol  Who should the letter be addressed to, i.e., organization and address
         Check Symbol  Name of grant and granting entity
        Check Symbol  Simple statement on the purpose of the grant
        Check Symbol  Concise paragraph on the scope/purpose of grant application, i.e., what/how will the funds be 
                 used if you are awarded the grant, who will benefit, amount of funds being requested, etc..
        Check Symbol  Your name and contact information

  4. Once the letter is signed by the chairman, you will be provided a copy by e-mail or you can come by the County office for the original.
