RESTORE Act

The RESTORE Act of 2012, is an acronym for: Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act of 2012. The RESTORE Act established a Gulf Coast Restoration Trust Fund in the U.S. Treasury in which 80 percent of the Clean Water Act penalties from the Deep Horizon Oil Spill will be distributed to impacted areas for recovery.

On October 1, 2012, Wakulla County entered into an Interlocal Agreement that admits the County as a member of the Gulf Consortium.
